Veterinary nurses are responsible for providing care and treatment to animals, under the supervision of a veterinarian.

Veterinary nurses are required to have a degree in veterinary nursing, be registered with the RCVS and have relevant experience in animal care. They must also be able to work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

In India, veterinary nursing is a relatively new profession and is not yet well established as compared to other countries. However, there are some steps that you can take to become a veterinary nurse in India:

1. Education: To become a veterinary nurse in India, you need to have a degree in veterinary science or animal husbandry. You can pursue a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & AH) from a recognized university in India. 2. Certification: After completing your degree, you can pursue a certification course in veterinary nursing to gain practical skills and knowledge. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) offers a certification course in veterinary nursing, which includes both theoretical and practical training. You can also consider pursuing a diploma course in veterinary nursing offered by some private institutions in India.

3. Practical Experience: You can gain practical experience by working as a veterinary assistant or technician in a veterinary hospital or clinic. This will give you hands-on experience and exposure to different animal health issues.

4. Registration: After completing your education and training, you can register with the VCI to become a certified veterinary nurse in India. The VCI is responsible for registering and regulating veterinary nurses in India.
